Resina launches new PIR-foam for Continuous Sandwich Panel Production: FOXOPOL PIR 3000
Since 1992 Resina is successful in providing PIR-solutions in this growing market-segment. Comparing PUR-foams with PIR-foams some remarkable differences can be seen. Final products show a much better flame-retardancy combined with a lower halogen content. Until now the biggest difference could be seen in the processing of PIR-foams. Most times a strong component-cooling together with a high double-band temperature (70-80°C) were required. These drastic processing factors have their effect on the final foam properties of a PIR-panel and especially on the foam-to-metal adhesion. This can lead to blistering when the panels are exposed to direct sunlight.
